Management at HIC

Dr Dainia Baugh is an expert in Wellness, Cardiac Risks and Chronic Disease Management. Dr. Baugh served as Assistant Professor of Medicine at Vanderbilt prior to becoming the Medical Director of Nashville Internal Medicine Associates. She previously also held the position of Medical Director of the PHV Hospital at Vanderbilt. Dr Baugh was educated at the University of Tennessee where she obtained an MD degree. She subsequently completed an Internal Medicine residency at the same institution. Dr Baugh’s practice focus is preventive medicine. She oversees HIC’s individually tailored heart disease prevention and is the founder of Breath, the wellness clinic. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Holistic Medicine. Dr Baugh is well known for best practices in wellness management and risk prevention. She has published extensively in the medical literature and is internationally respected.

Dr. Ernest Madu

Ms. Banbury serves as the Vice President of Business development for HIC and its affiliated companies. A Harvard University MBA, She combines that educational background with the skills honed from her experience working in the financial and banking Industry in the United States to inform business direction and implementation of growth strategies for the company. Ms. Banbury is instrumental in expanding the HIC presence to local communities across the island. The HIC product line MiniDX is being launched under her supervision.

Dr. Tulloch-Reid is an Interventional Cardiologist and Director of Clinical Services at HIC. A medical graduate of the University of the West Indies, he completed a residency in Internal Medicine at York Medical College-Metropolitan Hospital Center and subsequently a cardiology fellowship at the Montreal Heart Institute/University of Montreal and an interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh. He is US board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He is also an Associate Lecturer in the Department of Medicine at the University of the West Indies. Dr. Tulloch-Reid is versatile in all invasive and interventional diagnostic and treatment modalities commonly utilized for routine cardiac care in the United States. In addition to English, Dr Tulloch-Reid is fluent in German, French and Spanish.

A graduate of Howard University and Howard University School of Law, Ms Wilson practiced law in the Washington DC area prior to her return to Jamaica. In addition to her role at HIC, Ms. Wilson serves as Executive director of The HIC Foundation which seeks to address the inequity in healthcare and to redress the manpower and infrastructural challenges which affect health care delivery in Jamaica. An avid patron of the arts, she has been instrumental in the development of the HIC mentoring program Doctors in the Schoolroom.

Founder of HIC, The Center of Excellence for cardiovascular disease treatment in the English speaking Caribbean. Prior to his role at the Heart Institute, Dr. Madu was on the faculty of the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He is an expert in non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostics, with broad training and experience in all areas of cardiovascular diagnosis. He has advanced training in Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology and is versatile in advanced cardiac imaging modalities.

Dr. Madu completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Booth Memorial Medical Center affiliated with Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York. He did his cardiology fellowship at the Medical College of Ohio and completed an additional year of fellowship training dedicated to Advanced Cardiac Imaging at the University of Tennessee, Memphis. He is US board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology and Forensic Medicine.

Dr. Madu is an internationally recognized Cardiologist and Clinical Investigator whose research works have been presented internationally, published and cited in leading journals of cardiovascular medicine including the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, Circulation and Nature. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, American College of Physicians and the American College of Chest Physicians. Dr. Madu is one of a handful of non-European Cardiologists to be recognized with the award of Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology. He serves as a Reviewer for several leading cardiology journals including the journals Echocardiography, Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography, Circulation, Chest and the American Journal of Cardiology. He has served as member of the International Committee of the American Heart Association He has also previously served on the Clinical Faculty of the University of Florida and UCLA, both in the USA. Dr Madu’s current efforts are concentrated on responsible and appropriate technology transfer for sustainable, efficient and affordable health care development in low resource nations
